Mitigating Risks in E-Commerce: Considerations and Strategies

Image
Activity 7.2 – Reflection      Engaging in e-commerce has become an essential part of my daily life as a college student, offering convenience and efficiency for both personal and academic needs. However, I am aware that the digital marketplace comes with risks, so I make it a priority to take precautions to protect myself from fraud, scams, and other vulnerabilities. Reflecting on my experiences, I’ve developed a set of considerations to ensure safe and secure transactions.        One of my key practices is using Cash on Delivery (COD) whenever possible, as it allows me to inspect the product before making a payment. This adds an extra layer of security, especially when I’m uncertain about a seller’s credibility. Beyond this, I only shop on reputable platforms with secure connections (HTTPS) and take the time to research the seller’s reputation by reading reviews and customer feedback. When COD is not an option, I use secure payment method...
